Morgan Creek runs into the Colorado River of Texas in Western Burnet County, at a place called Bee Bluff.  This creek cuts through solid rock, and has a limestone bluff on one side or the other for many miles of it's course.  In places, the top of this bluff is in excess of 100 feet above the creek.  Morgan Creek runs sparkling clear water, and My aunt and uncle raised five children on it's banks.  They still drank this creek's water from a dipper in a wooden bucket when I was a teenager.  At one time my grandfather supported his family by farming and fishing near Bee Bluff, on Morgan Creek.  You might understand that I spent as much time in this area as I could manage when I was a boy.  My cousin still lives there, and his grandchildren play along that creek bank just as we did when we were boys.

"The Morgan" looks a little like the "San Gabriel" (below), but notice that it is cut to cover more of the cylinder area and has a sharper dip to expose the trigger guard.  It is also different at the "toe" of the holster, where it is more similar to the "Brazos."  The holster on the left (below) is made for a 7 1/2" Colt SAA, and is a straight cut holster with no drop.  The one on the right is built for a Ruger Vaquero with a 5 1/2" barrel, and has a 2 inch drop. which makes it fall on my gunbelt to the same level as the longer holster.  I built this rig for myself and thought this looked more symmetrical when mixing different barrel lengths.

Shown on the left (above) is a set  of "Morgans" built for 7 1/2" Colts and the ones on the right feature a 2" drop, 8 degree barrel forward cant, and are built for 5 1/2" Rugers.  Both sets are dark mahogany, heavily border tooled with two rows of stamping and three raised lines between.  Morgan holsters, are $95 each, plus tooling.

On any of the longer holsters like the one on the above left, a "two loop" variation (as shown on the "San Gabriel" holster (immediate left) is also an option.

A beautiful set of Morgans to fit a pair of Opentops, done in "saddle tan" with "Eldorado" conchos.

Above is a complete "Morgan" rig: holsters for 4 3/4" Colts, Shotgun belt set up in "doubles," a badge holder with 3 cartridge loops and a 3 cartridge loop slide with a concho.  This rig is border tooled with a barbed wire pattern, and done in an extra dark mahogany color.

This pair of Morgans built for 5 1/2” SAA  & R.V. ,done in black with  1 bead and 1 row stamping.

All of our holsters can be built in cross draw configuration.

Remember, we are a full custom shop and will make alterations and variations of any of the designs you see, as well as origional designs if you have a photo  or can describe what you would like.  There is no additional charge for redesigning or designing according to your desires.  (I get my best ideas from my customers)    This holster can be built with whatever drop you desire.

Always measure the circumference of exactly where you plan to wear the gunbelt... over the kind of clothes you will be wearing with the rig.

For all our holsters we use “heavy saddle skirting” from Hermann Oak.  This is vegetable tanned leather - the very best domestic hides, and tanned in America.

Unless your holsters are constructed using heavy skirting (at least 12 - 15 oz leather)  they will not hold their shape nor hold up to heavy use.

                 Fall Sale

Until the end of the year, when you order a double rig (2 holsters and any gun belt)...

We will either build a 3rd holster at no cost...

Or two cartridge slides (shot shell or revolver) at no cost.
