The Colorado River is one of the larger rivers of Texas. The Llano, the Concho, and the San Saba, all emptying into the Colorado in the hill country of Central Texas. This is where I grew up... along the banks of the Colorado and it's tributaries and lakes. In times gone by, this was Indian country, and almost anywhere along the river and creeks draining into it today, you can still find abundant evidence of ancient people's campsites. When I was a boy, searching for "arrowheads" along any creek or lake shore was always rewarded by multiple discoveries. In later years I learned that many of these artifacts were in fact "dart points" that preceded the use of the bow and arrow by many centuries. These replaceable “darts” were attached to the shaft of a arrow like spear and hurled with a notched handle. The “atlatl” (click on the link for more info) was hurled very effectively at game or enemies. The “Lower Colorado River” of Texas, anywhere along the shores of Lake Buchanan, Lake LBJ, Lake Marble Falls, Lake Travis, Lake Austin, Town Lake (in Austin)... "The Highland Lakes" along the course of the Colorado River are probably the greatest tourist attraction in the state today.
The simple lines of this holster lend themselves very well to rich embellishment; in this case, full basket weave inside a "rope" border stamping. The holster and belt are “antique russet.”
Price on this holster is $95.00, plus whatever tooling you want added to it. This particular one has full basket weave tooling inside a “rope” border stamping. The belt is a tapered belt with the upgrade silver plated buckle, and has a rope border around the circumference.
Remember, we are a full custom shop and will make alterations and variations of any of the designs you see, as well as original designs if you have a photo or can describe what you would like. There is no additional charge for redesigning or designing according to your desires. (I get my best ideas from my customers)
Always measure the circumference of exactly where you plan to wear the gunbelt... over the kind of clothes you will be wearing with the rig.
For all our holsters we use “heavy saddle skirting” from Hermann Oak. This is vegetable tanned leather - the very best domestic hides, and tanned in America.
Unless your holsters are constructed using heavy skirting (at least 12 - 15 oz leather) they will not hold their shape nor hold up to heavy use.
Fall Sale
